On one of the computers in our office, I've had a situation where both Outlook 97 and 98 repeatedly read the floppy drive even though no PST files are stored there nor is there a disk in the drive.

I'm not sure what Outlook is after and it's quite annoying. Any thoughts from those of you who might have also experienced this?

Thanks!

I have had this problem before, it the program itself is seeking something that it cannot find in the C drive.
Solution: De-install Outlook, and then reinstall. This process should not take long. If the problem persists then look at what else is running in your system, as the problem may in fact be originating from that.

Cheers
