Outlook 97/2000 Personal Folder Issue

I have a setup where a clients "profile" should retreive all email from the exchange server (5.5) automatically, but the only way they are able to get the email is if they press the "send/receive" button. I have tested this out, and found that if I send multiple messages to the same account the profile will start pulling the messages from the server. Would anyone have any clue whether this is a server or client issue?

Sounds to me like:

They've got Outlook configured to check the server every XX minutes, but they don't have it configured to go get the mail as soon as they open Outlook.

(In Outlook 2000, its Tools-Options-Mail delivery tab, Send messages immediately when connected)

Oops. You might also want to check the "Deliver mail to" location. I think it's in their profile or one of the tabs in the Exchange Server service? I forget!
