Outlook 2K3 Cache Mode... folder size incorrect

Has anyone else noticed that when you use cache mode in outlook 2003 the folder size for all outlook folders are roughly 2.5 times the size what they would be if you disabled cache mode? Server side Exchange reflects the non cache mode mailbox size.

I can recreate the issue all day but can't find any literature online about this issue. If anyone has heard of this before or knows of a patch or release to resolve please respond if you can.

Umm. Dredged up from a vague recollection.

I think the OST stores a plain text and an RTF/HTML copy of every message which would increase the size.

That might be for an older version of Exchange though and I could be thinking complete garbage.
