Outlook 2k3 added text in forwarded email disappears

I've got a user here, Office 2k3, email via POP, who hs a complaint. When he forwards an email, and adds text to it, the text does not always appear in the preview pane when viewing his Sent Items. When he attempts to re-forward the email, his added text is intact.

I have tried standard searches, but to no avail. Has anyone else encountered this, or have any suggestions?

Update:

When I view the source of the HTML formatted email, the following appears before the section that is not showing up.

This occurs for every single paragraph of added text, now in every instance of a forwarded email.

Open the Font dialog box and see if Hidden is checked.

I found another solution that we will be testing out. I am dis-allowing Word as an editor for email files. Other sources seem to have this event only occurring when Word is used as the email editor.
