Here's the deal:
Meeting requests sent from Office XP to Office 2k are sent as "source data (only header info)" and not the nice graphical accept/decline message. Causing an exec huge annoyance.
background
small office, 22 computers all running Win2k on a dell platform. Running office 2000, no exchange server, single file/print NT4 server.
We had two people get new laptops with XP and office XP. Everythings fine.
Upgrade the server to Win2k Small business server, change the domain name for Active Directory. This caused us to copy a whole lotta profiles over.
Since upgrading the server (supposedly) the Office XP user cannot send proper meeting requests, they get sent looking just like a bunch of headers. No error messages, all the settings have been checked. It just looks like the message just isn't being processed properly.
I know in Office 2k there is an option in contacts to specify sending "plain-text" messages... but I couldn't find it in Office XP to see if it was enabled or not.
Thoughts?
