Outlook 2K new mail notification workes 50% of the time

I have one workstation that just refuses to send me a message when new mail arrives. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it a couple of times now. It will work one or two times and then quit and then work again intermediately. Anyone else have this happen to them. Please help, I have tried everything I could think of. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you may have a netork protocol issue. I had a similar situation that I resolved by installing NetBEUI. On your desktop, right-click on Network Neighborgood, then select the Protocols tab. If you don't have it installed, check your other workstations to see if they do. If they do, and this one doesn't then install it by clicking Add on the protocols tab.
