Outlook 2k - info bar

Hola Guys, I figured you guys would be the ones to ask.

Is there any way to alter or remove the information bar from outlook 2k. It pops up whenever u open an email that you have replied to. I have a visually impaired friend who finds the black writing on a bright yellow background hard on his eyes. I was wondering if there was any way to change the colors or remove it all together. I hunted and hunted through the O2k settings but alas ... no solution seemed evident.

Try this:

Go to the display settings on that computer. Click on the "appearance" tab. In the ITEM list, choose "tool tip" and change the colors there. Of course, this will change all tool-tip formatted objects--didn't try it myself...

Nope; that didn't solve it... ;( -- the tooltip is black background; white writing. Tried turning it red and blue to no effect.
