Outlook 2K: delete a meeting request from my inbox

If I delete a meeting request from my inbox, will the meeting still be placed in my calendar?
Also If I leave the meeting request in my inbox and not open it will the meeting be placed in my calendar?

If you delete it, I believe it will delete it from your calendar, and if you do not open it, I think it still puts it in your calendar. At least that is how it is in Outlook XP....
