Folks,

I have a guy who receives the following error whenever he tries to open his contacts folder in Outlook 2000.

OUTLOOK caused a stack fault in module EMSMDB32.DLL at 0167:62731ab9.

I've tried patching his Office install, deleting temp files, checking his hard drive, reinstalling Office on his PC.

I may have to try deleting his mailbox and recreating it.

Any help is appreciated!!!

I figured it out.

He had something in his Calendar folder that was causing the PC to go to 100% CPU whenever he clicked on the folder.

I narrowed it down to his mailbox by attaching to it with another copy of Outlook on a different PC and it did the same thing.

I exported his mail to a PST, deleted, recreated his mailbox and imported his info back except for the calendar and he's good to go. I tried importing his calendar folder also, but it would go into the 100% CPU condition when I did, so I simply imported everything but that and he's good to go.

Have a good one!!!
