Need to switch a small remote office from using pst's to ost's, then set the Outlook clients to synchronize every so often. I'm a Notes guy and not a lot of experience with outlook. What's the best order/procedure to make this switch?
I figured I'd change the path in the offline folder settings to a local ost file. Then archive the users old pst. Then import the users calendar and contact info into the new ost file/server information store. I did one earlier today which was a 2003 outlook client, and after I did the first sync, it transferred all the damn mail from his pst on the server!? It should have been a blank inbox....? (65MB inbox uploading back to the server over a 128k line = pain...)
Am I doing this right? TIA....
