Outlook 2016 Click to Dial Problem - Avaya One-X Plugin - dependencies are missing

Ip500v2 9.1.10
Application server 9.1.10
Win10 x64 / Outlook 2016 x64
.net framework 2.0,3.0,3.5,4.7 selected in windows features

When i go to install avaya one-x call assistant, during the installation i get a pop-up "avaya click to dial from email text feature will not be available as some dependencies are missing"

How can I find out what dependencies are missing.
I ran the installer as admin, and i have the .net frameworks all installed, what am I missing?

i researched it, it seems some people cant get the 9.1 one-x plugin to work with outlook 2016, while some others can.

The only tip i heard was to upgrade to R10, which i dont think i am going to do

I've seen the same problem and as it is not my problem but the IT departments problem I did not investigate.
All used PCs run Win 10 64 and are build from the same image with the same settings and still some have the problem.

You should try with 32-bit Office.

I just tried on 32-bit office 2016 and had same issue

I found the workaround:

First install Office 2013 x64, then installed the one-x outlook plugin, then upgraded to office 2016 x64.

Its annoying since i have to do this on a few machines, not to mention in the future.

Im hoding out hope that Avaya might fix this with later SP of R9.1

Update:

I forget the smart tag feature requires 32 bit office, so basically the workaround is for Office 2013 x32, then plugin install, then upgrade to office 2016 x32
