Outlook 2007 To-Do bar appointments don't show dates 1

In Outlook 2007, how can you force the date to appear on upcoming appointments that are displayed in the "Appointments" section of the To-Do bar?

Right now, all of my appointments show just subject, day name, start/end times, and description. In the past, I've seen upcoming dates on appointments, but I cannot figure out what controls this behavior.

Apparently, what I want can't be done. For anyone looking for the same issue:

No, you can't change the appointment display - under 7 days just lists the day, over 7 includes the date.
