User has XP Pro and Outlook 2007. Ordinarily, e-mails go out very quickly and without a problem. However user produced a large number of e-mails yesterday (150) and they took ages and ages to clear the Outbox. In fact there were still 40 in there first thing this morning. Those 40 cleared the box by midday.
The same e-mail (individually addressed, NOT cc'd) was sent to 150 different people/addresses, has no attachment and is about 38Kb in size.
The computer has plenty of free resources, other applications could be run without slowness, Internet access was/is fine all the time, and other unconnected e-mails could reputedly be dispatched without delay, in between.
What is going on? Any clues as to what to look for and check?
