Outlook 2007 rules not working

I'm trying to get a rule to work in outlook 2007, basically i have 1 exchange mailbox and and another MAPI mailbox. so i basically have 2 "inboxes" when i run rules in the exchange mailbox it all works very well, however when i create a rule in the MAPI mailbox it does not run automatically, if i "run the rule now" it moves any mail matching the criteria in the rule to the correct folder.

i have tried loads of different rules/connotations but i get the same result everytime.....
