I am having trouble with Outlook 2007 on a Win XP Pro machine, after starting Outlook issues the following message:

"The required file naCmnLib.dll cannot be found in your path. Install Microsoft Office again."

Do I really need to re-install Office? Can't I just copy in the missing file? If I do reinstall Office, what will happen to the user's received e-mails (to valuable to lose)?

I would try uninstalling McAfee antivirus. That might help.

Try running "Office Diagnostics". Open Outlook 2007 and go Help ->Office Diagnostics and follow the prompts.

If you can't run it from OL2K7 then open any other Office 2007 program and run it from there. (Office button ->Word (or Excel, or ?) Options ->Resources and then click on "run Microsoft Office Diagnostics".

Hope this helps.
