Outlook 2007 Keeps Disconnecting from Exchange

We have Exchange 2010 and Windows 2008 R2 DCs. We have moved MOST of our users from Exchange 2003. Our issue is that predictably througout the day random users are disconnected from Outlook (~10:50A and 1:53P).

We have not found anything in the logs that would incidcate a problem. Some users are required to re-enter their credentials while others simply get an "Outlook is reconnecting" pop up.

Is there any Exchange/Windows process that may be running on either the FE or BE server that may be causing this?

We are getting a SAN SSL certificate thinking that this may be due to an authentication issue. Hopefully this will resolve the problem, but in the mean time does anyone have any other things we could check on?

No such thing as FE and BE in Exchange 2010. Do you have load balancing in place?

We have OWA in our DMZ and our mailboxes (Exchange) on our local network.

OWA in the DMZ isn't recommended, and hasn't been for years.

Back to the issue. Do you have load balancers?

We do not have it load balanced.

The issue was resolved by adding an SSL Cert to point to the internal name of the OWA server.

I'm assuming then, that you don't have split brain DNS? From a security perspective it's often preferred to not have internal server names in certs accessible by the outside world. Just a thought. Glad you got it going!
