Outlook 2007 freezes

Outlook 2007 SP2 freezes in cached mode only when sending mail to externalreceipients.
sends to GAL ok in cached mode.
have removed and reinstall outlook, profile, ost,
Had outlook 2003 installed first which worked fine.
How can i resolve this?
