Outlook 2003?

Wanted to create a back up of my emails on Outlook 03, followed the directions and was able to copy them to a dvd. Is it possible to simply view the emails from the dvd? When I attempt to access the file I receive a message asking which program to use to open the file.

No. Outlook requires WRITE access to a .pst file.
