Outlook 2003 vcard notes

My company is starting to upgrade to Outlook 2003. If someone sends a vcard with notes, they don't appear........it's like they were never there.

If I switch to exchange mode and turn off cache mode, there are no problems, and the vcard notees come through without problems.

Anybody have any ideas? (other than changin everybody to exchange services? Some users have huge PST files that I can't keep on the server)
