Lately when I’ve tried to attach a file to an email, it takes an unusually long time for the attachment to complete. I use the paperclip icon on the toolbar. Browse to select the file. Then it takes more than a minute for the file to appear below the subject in the email header. Any thoughts on what’s going and how to fix it? TIA, J

Outlook 2003 Slow Attachments

A minute must seem like an eternity! The usual reason for delays is Anti Virus scanning the attachment first. Maybe your AV is corrupt. Try disabling AV for a quick test. If that improves the speed, try uninstalling an reinstalling the AV.
