employee1 said his account sent an email to another emplyees (employee2) broker...however, employee1 doesn't even know employee2's broker?? any ideas how or why this might have happened? this is a new one to me, never seen anything like it...

Does anyone know Employee1's password and logged on as him? Or does someone have Send As permissions as Employee1?

Did they tell you the body and jist of the e-mail. Was it a personal e-mail that looks like it would have been sent by a regular person, or did it look like spam or a virus that was relayed through your server?

nobody else has employee2's logon and password, and no one has send on behalf permission for the account.

the body looks just like a normal email that employee2 would've sent to his broker, but no idea why it would come out of employee1 account when there is no knowledge of the broker involved...
