Outlook 2003: Search for Contact Not Working!

I have an entry "Green Thumb" in Outlook 2003 Contacts. No exchange server.

When I search for "Green" nothing shows up. In fact it does not even show up in the search listing.

But when I switch to the "Contact" view and select "G", there it is.

And when I use my external search/indexing program (X1), there it is again.

Am I doing something wrong in Outlook? It it's search really that bad?
