outlook 2003 rules don't fire automatically

has anyone experienced this?
is there any solution/fix/patch?
all i know is since changing over to 2003 from 5.5 exch
rules only work manually
is this MS idea of progress?

Which rules on what? Give us an example. (my rules work OK)

example
i create a rule to move item with specified word in subject to a folder
it worked before but now with 2k3 - nothing happens unless i run it manually

Did you upgrade just the Exchange Server or also the Outlook client?

I know there is an export/import utility for rules when "upgrading" to a new version of Outlook.

There's also an upgrade RULES option (which will be greyed out if Outlook/Exchange does not "think" they need to be upgraded)

Is this occurring for only "OLD" rules? Or new rules as well?

i did not migrate rules since i knew from reading that they would need to be recreated
i am talking about newly created rules
outlook clients are all 03
none were changed
i applied sp2 to my office just to see if it would make a difference - no luck
but it does not work for anyone
