Hi everyone

I have Outlook 2003 and have sent an e-mail to someone by directly entering their e-mail address in the "To..." area. The mail's been sent correctly and, when I went to send another e-mail to someone who's name begins with the same letter, it gave me several options, including the person to whom I'd sent the earlier e-mail. I'd not added them to my Contacts (or address book). I'd like to delete their details from this drop down list (or MRU) - does anyone have any idea where it's stored? I hasten to add that it's not because of any illicit reason, nor do I have to hide this from anyone else who may have access to this computer!!! I'd simply like to know where this list is stored. It's obviously not the Contacts list so I suspected that it may be somewhere in the registry. I've searched the registry but the e-mail address couldn't be found in there.

Thanks for your time.

Excellent - thank you.

A question though for MS: "How on earth would I know that this was the nickname cache?". If I had known this, I could have found this article myself!

Just use the down arrow to select the name in the cache and press delete.

I need to do this exact same thing for a network of about 300 PC's but obviously dont want to connect to each machine one at a time. Does anybody know of any scripts I could run to do this?

Kind regards
John

Just create a script that deletes the file mentioned in the MSKB Article above.
