outlook 2003 .pst to 2007 pst contacts drop distribution lists

when exporting contyacts to a .pst file in 2003 and then importing them into another machine using oputlook 2007. then contacts come over but the distribution lists are gone. I re-imported them into another machine using 2003 and they show up fine.
Any ideas how to automate this using a macro or something. I am a VBA gur but have not delved into Outllok I know Access and Excel very well. can I export the info in distribution lists some how so we don't have to re-choose them allaagain in 2007?

Any!!! help appreciated.
