Hi experts,

I hope I can describe my problem. I have Outlook 2003

When someone sends an email containing, for example, an error message - in the body of the email (not as an attachement).... all I see is a balnk box with a red X in the corner of the box.

This happens with emails sent from several sources.

What setting do I need to change to be able to view the box?

Thanks, John

Are the senders sending their mail in Rich Text Format? If so you could have them try sending the message using HTML. However, I don't think that there is a setting that you can change on your end. It is usually a problem with the sending side. It is also a fairly common problem.

The solution that I use is to have the person sending the e-mail to paste the error message into MS Paint and send it as an attachment.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply.

I have fixed the issue that has plagued me for several months :)

I can't post all the steps, but it involved editing the registry and deleting the \local settings\Temporary Internet Files\OLK3D entry

Closed Outlook before editing the registry

Then when I reopened Outllok 2003 I can now view the contents of the email fully.
