Machine is running Outlook 2003 on Windows XP SP2.

Some images do not appear when you view the sent item. The user has set her mail to use HTML format for messages. This happens with some images and not others. All images are local to the machine, not links to images online.

I've tried:
1. Clearing outlook and internet temp files
2. New installation of Outlook
3. New PC with fresh installation of Outlook

Any other ideas? I'm at a loss.

With a call to Microsoft, I found a solution in my case. There is a registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Outlook\Security. It contains a key called "OutlookSecureTempFolder ". When I deleted that key, all images began to show.

Just in case someone else has that same problem. Of course you should back up the registry before making changes...

THANKYOU!!!!!!

This has been bugging me for AGES!!!!!

Deleting that key has fixed me.

You're welcome. I have had the key recreate itself periodically, although I'm not sure why. You can probably create a regedit file to delete that key and use it as a batch file to dix it again as needed.
