Does anyone know how to set up separate inboxes for multiple addresses? I've tried setting rules to send new mail to different folders based on the email address it's sent to but I can't find that option in the rules menu. I've also tried to set up separate data files (or had a friend who was a little more computer literate try) and all it did was create 2 cloned data files that I can't get rid of... Any ideas? Oh, and if you could help me get rid of those extra data files that would be cool too. Thanks!

It's not possible to create seperate inboxes for different email addresses however you can create subfolders for each address within the Inbox. Try the following:

Right click 'Inbox' and create a new folder and name it. (do this as many times as you need to, if you are picking up two addresses like me then do it twice) e.g I have 'hf.com' & 'btmail' as subfolders in my Inbox.

Now creat rules for each address as follows:

Click on: Tools - Rules & Alerts - New Rule - Check the 'Start from a blank rule' box - Next.

In Step 1- scroll down the list and check the 'with specific words in the recipient's address' box.
In Step 2- click on 'specific words' and add part of the first email address you want to set up.(the domain part of the address is best.. for me I used 'btinternet'). Then click on 'specified' and select the subfolder you created in your Inbox. (this was 'btmail' in my case).
Once you have done this click finish and Apply the rule.

Mail will now come in for each address and be directed into the appropriate Inbox subfolder.

Hope this helps?
