hi

is it possible for e-mails read by delegates not to be marked as read?

my director is getting very confused when she looks in her inbox and has no unread e-mails because he PA has read them

thanks

neil

Hi,

Her PA could always right click the read messages and Mark as Unread.

Not sure about automating this though.

Peter

Remember- It's nice to be important,
but it's important to be nice :)

not sure her PA will want to do that on every e-mail

Make the director's email address a group address with the pa and director as members of the group. Then the pa will receive all her director's mail and be able to attend to it whilst leaving all the mail marked as unread in director's account.

The pa should make sure that she includes the group address in the bcc field of any replies she sends. If the director has her emails grouped by conversation, she can see which emails she hasn't read and which of those that have been replied to with the replies (both the pa's and any further replies from the originator) grouped together.
