Outlook 2003 - folder list

I have been using outlook 2003, find it to be pretty good, but today I started it up, changed some smtp settings, and now have lost all incoming/outgoing mail, folder changes back to this time last month, the last time I archived.

I've even lost news emails I'd received and read this morning

Is there anyway to retrieve this information? I'm not sure what I've done...

it is possibel that the emails have been archived check unter tools-options-other and autoarchive
