Hi,

Is there anyway of saving/exporting the email autocomplete database?

I am creating new user profiles for my users, and don't want to get earache by them complaining that they have to retype all the email addresses!

Thanks

Steve

It's not really worth the effort & could concievebly create more grief than it's worth; but the nickname cache files can be directly copied. They are stored in *.nk2 files for Outlook 2002+ and *.nick for Outlook 2000-

so i would just copy and paste this file into the Outlook file under the user profile?

You would paste that file into the appropriate directory. Of course filesystem permissions must be correct, etc.

smah is absolutely correct **** star for you bro**** I have done this .. just copy the .nk2 file up to the LAN (or disk) and once the new profile is created, snap it in place.

grab their dictionary file too...

Tom
