Hey guys,

I'm a developer here (VB/VBA MCP/MCT) but have an end user question/problem.

I upgraded my Msft Office from 2000 to 2003 two months ago and Outlook 2003 is driving me nuts. It crashes while getting mail and I have no idea why. When I restart it, it checks the PST file saying it might be damaged.

I've researched the heck out of the problem and am no further along. My PST is 375MB but its nowhere near the 2GB limit. I clean it and compact it weekly. I've tried starting Outlook 2003 in safe mode (hold the Ctrl) and it still crashes.

I hope one of the sharp people here has some advice. :)

Thanks,

Brooks

How about a repair install of Outlook from Add/Remove programs??? You could also remove your PST file and start with a fresh one to verify that it has to be the program and not the PST file. Then you could put it back.

What is the error in the Event log??

This is from the XP Event Viewer:

Hanging application OUTLOOK.EXE, version 11.0.8312.0, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.

Weeks ago I did do 'Detect & Repair' from inside Outlook and that didn't help.

Honestly, I would try a repair install and then if no results, a remove/regclean with Ccleaner/reboot/reinstall
