Outlook 2003 BCC'ing to group causes error message/wont send 1

I have an contacts group "customers" i address the "to" field to myself and add the customer list to the bcc line. when i try to send i get "an internal support function returned an error" message and the email wont go out

I can do this with no problem in outlook epress which leads me to another question. Updating my address book in outlook doesn't seem to automatically update the address book in outlook express. how can i get both to update simultaneously or do i have to import the address book into oe each time i update?
