Outlook 2003 and xp Forwarding

I have a user that has an email she wants to forward. It has Hyperlinks in it that are fonted blue. When she clicks "forward" the link does not stay blue, it reverts back to what all the rest of the fonts are in the document. The hyperlink is still there if you hover over it.

Any idea on what is making the font color not stick when you click forward?

this happens in Outlook 2003 and Outlook XP. OS is XP
