I have been using outlook 2002 for a while
and recently it slows down the system to a crawl i cant do anything else have to do a hard reboot.

It works fine if there is only one account being used but as soon as I add another account and do a send and receive it kills the system again and i cant do anything.

any ideas on how to solve this?!

Perhaps this is off in left field but with all the viruses targeting Outlook maybe you should check for a virus. I recently found a client with a similar problem with slow system performance and found he had 873 copies of the nimda virus. It was replicating at a tremendous rate and created a severe load on the processes.

I also have the same problem. Outlook's Send/Recieve stops everything else. I have yet to find a way to correct this, other then closing Outlook if not being used. May I ask what your ISP is? I'm on Sympatico and I thought maybe its something with Outlook 2000 and their connections. But they won't admit to that and they can't help, because they don't support and email client other then Outlook Express.
