Outlook 2002 with multipart/mixed email content

One of my clients has a problem with Outlook 2002 - whenever someone sends him a text-based email with embedded HTML content, like a signature or disclaimer, Outlook 2002 will display the HTML content but not the text. Outlook Express on the same machine displays both in the body of the message just fine. Any ideas?
