I am using Outlook 2002 (10.3513.3501) SP1 with Windows XP Professional (5.1.2600 Service Pack 1 Build 2600). If I have had Outlook open, when I shut the system down, I get a "END PROGRAM - OUTLOOK.EXE" pop-up box asking me if I wish to end the program now. If I have not had Outlook open, then the system shuts down correctly.

Any suggestions/ideas would be welcomed and appreciated.

Thanks,

Brad W.

After you close Outlook, check task manager. I think that you will find that Outlook application never finished closing.

If that's correct, the question becomes 'Why isn't Outlook closing completely?' You might find some clues in event viewer (Start, Run, eventvwr.msc). You could also arbitrarily run a 'Detect and Repair' from Outlook.
