Outlook 2002 Security Levels

Hi again,

Please can anyone help with this query.

Currently running Office XP and have Outlook set up. However do not seem to be able to receive .exe or even some URL attachments. I have looked in the Outlook Help and Support and have found that Outlook runs a e-mail security policy. In this policy it sets up security for each email depending on the type of attachment. E.G. a .exe attachment has a LEVEL 1 policy in that these attachments are witheld by Outlook and not accessible by the user.

I also understand that if you are running an Exchange server you can specify which attachments are allowed to be received. Now then, my question is this, how can I receive .exe and .vbs attachments without running an Exchange server? Or how can I specify which attachments I want to receive.

This may be a simple solution for somebody, but I seem to have looked everywhere and cannot find the answer

Thanks again
