Outlook 2002: Recipient gets garbled email 1

We have over 400 users with Office XP and when one of our users sends an email to this particular user, they see something similiar to the following.....

Subject: Testing, let us know if message body is readable

This is only happening with this one user and this one recipient. When anyone else sends a message to this recipient, it is fine. When our user sends an email to others, no problem. We use Exchange 2000 and they use Exchange as well (not sure which version). I thank you in advance for your help.

just solved a similar problem today, it had wingdings or something for all the bold text.

first, try typing the text in a word document, and attach it to the email, then send and see if it does it when they open it, if so close word, then save the doc to desktop, and open it.

If it opens fine seperately from outlook, try logging in as a local admin, change user's profile name to username1, then have them log back in. if that works, copy their favorites etc to their new profile, if not delete the new account and change the old one back to the correct name.
