Outlook 2002 Password Remember not working 2

I have Outlook 2002 running on a XP home system and recently had to restore the operating system from the restore disk. I re-installed the Office XP and now when I open outlook and do a send receive I get prompted for a password. I supply the password and have to keep checking off remember my password box. It never retains this and I always have to enter it. Is there something else I need to do to get the password to stay after chacking of the box. I have deleted the account and re-added it to the outlook and still have the same problem.

Any suggestions?

I have the same issue. I have tried removing the registry key that some of the other posts have stated to do, but have had no luck.

I think that this is what what comtec17 is referring to. It usually works if you follow all the steps.
