Hello all,
I am facing a tough problem with Outlook 2002 on some laptops. I want to configure Outlook with an OST-file so that the mailbox becomes available offline. First I define the OST-file itself, then I configure the Send/Receive settings which can be found in Tools > Options > tab Mail Setup. So far so good...
The problem comes up when the laptop is started up in offline mode. At that point the Send/Receive settings I defined earlier (checkboxes) are disabled again. When the laptop is back online, the settings stay disabled. This is very frustrating as the OST-file is never up-to-date due to this behaviour.
The laptops are installed with Windows XP SP2 and Office XP SP3 (fresh installation) and are member of a Windows 2000 domain. Users logon with their domain username when they are working offline. Their profile is stored locally (so they don't have a roaming profile). The laptops are equipped with a docking station at the office.
Can anyone help me with this problem?
Thanx in advance,
Richard.
