I’m having a weird and annoying little problem with outlook 2002 in one of my users computer. When the user reads or deletes messages from his/her inbox outlook reports that he/she has 30 to 60 more messages that not there. Recently I completely cleaned his/her inbox (0 messages), but outlook still reported that he/she had 60 new messages, I proceeded to click send/receive button but now it reports that there are 30 new messages. I close outlook and started it again, I even rebooted the computer but still reports 30 to 60 new messages that are not there. I even rebotted the exchage server were the user's inbox resides to no avail. We use Exchange 5.5 SP 4 for our backend, and all mail boxes are stored in the server. Could someone please tell me what could be causing this problem or at least point me in the right direction. Thank you.

Have you tried to remove the profile and re-add it? I've seen this happen with OL2000. I don't have much experience with OLXP but I would start there.

1-Remove Exchange server.
2-Re-add Exchange server. -Brad
