Outlook 2002 displaying incorrect Folder Size.

I have a user running Outlook 2002 in and NT domain with Exchange 5.5. The Deleted Items folder looks completely empty, but the Folder Size is shown as 16345KB. Exchange Admin shows his mailbox size as 9505KB which is about right. He has no *.pst or *.ost. Can anyone tell me where Outlook 2002 is getting this information from or how I can clear or reset it to report the correct folder size?
