Hi,
I just did a 'reccomended' update to Outlook 2002. Now, my hard disk seems to contantly be churning along. I did a search for files created recently, and MS has put in a huge, complex directory structure with many files with names like "System.Hash.gthr".
I'm assuming this is ostensibly some sort of search/indexing 'feature', but under the 'ostensible' purposes, my mild sense of paranoia about anything Microsoft (which has proven to be rational and warranted thus far) makes me think that there is some 'spy' capabilities built in to this. Without getting into a philosophical debate about licensing issues and whether MS has the 'right' to do this, can this be turned off, and how?
Thanks,
