Outlook 2002 & stopping send when offline.

When my computer boots up it connects to the internet and then loads Outlook which is set, as I want, to check my mail every minute.

However, Outlook usually loads before my connection to the internet has been made and Outlook reports in a small windows that it can't find the server.

I want to get rid of this and I have selected that for my account I only send/recieve when I'm online but Outlook STILL decides to do it/

I have also asked Outlook not to provide the send/recieve status window but it still does that to.

Where am I going wrong?
