I'm running XP sp1, Office XP with Outlook 2002.
The address (To:) completion/fill-in feature works fine for good address. When I type in a new address it shows up in future messages but does NOT show up in the contacts or address book. I even tried linking Outlook to Access to look at the files. Where does Outlook store the addresses that are just typed in ? The other problem is somewhere I typed an address incorrectly. Now, when I type the correct address, the bad one shows up. Is there any way to edit/remove/view these addresses ?

Thank in advance

thanx SMAH. Tried the utility and the utility did NOT find any nickname cache. The name is still auto completed, but I cannot find it anywhere. Plan 2 ?

To delete the wrong entries, type a few character until the wrong one shows, hover over it with the mouse, scroll with the cursor keys to the wrong one, DON'T click, but hit the Del key.
Typed entries will never get in your address book.

Thanx again, but I feel like such a putz. I tried all of the tips, but the name is still there. Plan 3 ????

Retry the delete, it works.
