Hello,

I'm running outlook 2002, and when i enter a name in the "to" box, microsoft auto-completes the name (as expected), but i've recently removed this email account from my exchange server, and yet it still auto-completes the name, even though there isn't a valid email address attached to it.
Does outlook (client application), have its own "history" file of previously used addresses that it refers to, and if so can i edit, it, in order to remove this address?

Thank you for any help.

Yes it has its own History. What I have done to resolve this is:

Start to type your name when it brings up the list make sure it is highlighted and press the Delete key. It gets rid of it in 2003 and I belive 2002 as well but I may be wrong. Once you have pressed Delete close and open a new email to see if it is still there.

If this does not work maybe someone knows 2002 better than me.

Oh one other thing is you have to hit the DELETE key and not the backspace key. A common mistake I have had my users do.
