I have a few laptops which have outlook 2000 with a windows
2000 OP,they are now getting a error message when they try
to sychronize their folders stating "error in backround sychronization" any ideas on what to do?
Close Outlook, go the the outlook folder in the following location C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook. Delete or rename the outlook.ost file to outlookost.old. Open Outlook and try to synchronize the folders again, this should create a new ost file. Sometimes the file itself becomes corrupt and you need to recreate it. Let me know what happens.
