Any ideas? Thank you, Dave

If the address book file is not damaged, it should import properly. What's the error? You can test if the file is OK by opening it directly or using the Windows Address book program. Make sure the file is not 'read-only'.

The outlook file, on the other hand sounds like a problem. How was it created? It should have a real name with a .pst extension.

Hi smah, thanks for reply:

I got an IDE adapter for 2.5 inch laptop drives, connected it to another PC desktop as primary drive. The sytem booted, allowed me to export all info in Outlook as *.pst file, then copied to new notebook & imported *.pst file.

All data rec'd 100% ok. Had client test for emails, address book, etc.

Not using Exchange. Tried your suggestions for reading / importing, etc: *.wab files, no luck.

Main thing, is for clients never to leave their hard drives at PC repair shop. We were able to recover about 1200 documents that were not backed up in the Ghost 2003 backup archive done by that repair shop. They were on d: drive partition.
