We have several mobile users who dial in to our server to collect email. Their outlook 2000 clients are set to synchronise. Some of the users synchronisation takes a very long time, with the status box displaying hundreds of emails to be synchronised. In the event, they only receive 2 or 3 emails, but have to wait while the client runs through the synchronisation process. Anyone know how to speed this process up?

Any help gratefully received!

Ricky

Hey, we had that problem with several people and found that the easiest answer was to have those people clean out their mailboxes. Secondly, we had them archive sooner.

We asked for them to either file or delete those emails they have already read and sent. At one point, we had to send out a memo warning those who didn't comply of the possibility that we would have to do it for them because of the heavy network traffic.
